Galaxy Innovation Hub Awarded International SPIRE Certification

On the morning of September 26, during the Galaxy of Innovation 2025 technology event, the Galaxy Innovation Hub (GiHub) announced that it had become the first smart building in Vietnam to achieve SPIRE certification.

SPIRE is a comprehensive evaluation program developed by UL Solutions (USA) in collaboration with the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA). This certification has been awarded to many international projects, including Microsoft’s office buildings in Redmond, Dublin, and Hyderabad.

Inaugurated in late 2023, GiHub spans 35,000 square meters, stands 12 floors tall, and is located in the Saigon Hi-Tech Park, Ho Chi Minh City. It serves as a venue for technology and innovation events, while also welcoming numerous enterprises, universities, and organizations from both Vietnam and abroad for visits and collaborations.

The SPIRE assessment process reportedly took six months, featuring two rounds of inspections. Experts from UL visited the Galaxy Innovation Hub to conduct on-site surveys, interviews, and evaluations of the entire management, operations, maintenance, and internal documentation systems.

This certification does not solely consider IoT infrastructure or automation but focuses on the degree of smart, safe, sustainable operations and the ability to optimize data.

Galaxy Innovation Hub was recognized by SPIRE for comprehensively meeting stringent criteria, ranging from efficient energy management, renewable energy application, backup power and smart lighting systems, to ensuring the safety of life and property with fire prevention systems, access control, 24/7 surveillance, and regular maintenance protocols.

Speaking at the event, Mr. Nguyễn Đức Huy, Deputy Director of the Center for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in Ho Chi Minh City (C4IR), stated that Galaxy of Innovation is part of the event series for the Autumn Economic Forum 2025. The forum is scheduled for November under the chairmanship of the Prime Minister, with a theme centered on breakthroughs for national and Ho Chi Minh City’s development.

The Galaxy of Innovation event, held on September 25-26, focused on discussing the status and development trends of AI (Artificial Intelligence) and Blockchain technology, with the goal of fostering innovation and connecting technology units, startups, enterprises, and academia in Vietnam.

According to Mr. Nguyễn Đức Huy, AI and Blockchain are global technology trends that align with the direction of the Politburo’s Resolution 57 and have also been identified by the Prime Minister as 2 of the 11 strategic technologies in Decision 1131.
