A Space for Inspiration
On November 25, 2025, the talk show “Intelligent Generation NOW” will officially be held in Ho Chi Minh City. The programme is an important component of the Autumn Economic Forum 2025, co-organised with the World Economic Forum (WEF) and the United Nations in Viet Nam.
The Talkshow aims to create an open forum where Vietnamese youth can be inspired, broaden their perspectives, and connect with global development trends. After several editions, the Talkshow returns this year with the theme “Intelligent Generation NOW.”
The event is expected to gather senior representatives from the Government, Ho Chi Minh City authorities, and international organisations, along with more than 500 delegates, including outstanding young faces such as students, young entrepreneurs, emerging business leaders, early-career scientists, and domestic and international experts. It promises to be a rare opportunity for young people to gain direct access to strategic insights on the “twin transition”, which is becoming a central development pillar for both Viet Nam and the world.
A key highlight of the event is the inspirational speech by Mr. Stephan Mergenthaler, Managing Director of the World Economic Forum. With deep expertise in global trend analysis and policy planning, he is expected to offer a comprehensive perspective on the role of youth in the intelligent era, as well as Viet Nam’s opportunities amid ongoing global restructuring.
Following this, an interactive discussion session with young Vietnamese representatives will open up a lively space for sharing, allowing young people to engage directly with international experts. The session will focus on clarifying the practical contributions of youth to Viet Nam’s sustainable transformation, encouraging young participants to proactively propose ideas and initiatives for the country’s development trajectory.
Shaping the Future Talent Landscape
Alongside the Talk Show is the Seminar “AI Generation NOW” (AI Generation – Act Now), a platform for domestic and international representatives to share perspectives, strategies, and practical solutions in creating an innovation ecosystem where youth are always the central factor. The seminar will also discuss policies for developing human resources, nurturing young talents, as well as strategies and immediate actions in the digital era and the context of global multi-crises.
Concurrently, the sharing session on “AI for Everyone and the Role of Youth in Leading and Transitioning” carries significant action guidance as technology profoundly changes the direction of learning, working, and living activities. It aims to broaden the adaptive mindset and forward-looking actions of young Vietnamese in today’s rapidly evolving environment.
Another key feature is the Policy Roundtable on Talent Development in the Digital Age, coordinated by the United Nations Youth and Adolescent Working Group. Speakers include experts from CMC Corporation, City University of Hong Kong (CityU), MassRobotics, the Centre for the Future of Work (CFoW) at the University of Pretoria, the Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution in South Africa, and Techcombank.
The roundtable will highlight real-life experiences, international best practices, and strategic recommendations for developing high-quality human capital contributing to a roadmap for shaping a future-ready talent force capable of navigating global uncertainty and accelerating technological change.
With a well-structured programme combining inspiration, dialogue, and action-oriented guidance, “Intelligent Generation NOW” aspires to become a signature annual event for Vietnamese youth. Beyond being a platform for knowledge exchange, the programme encourages young people to proactively co-create the future with a global mindset, technological capability, and a strong spirit of innovation.
