Participants will evaluate the challenges HCMC faces in its industrial transformation and propose potential areas for cooperation, said Le Truong Duy, apprentice deputy director of the HCMC Department of External Relations and director of the Foreign Service Center.

Representatives from 16 countries, including Laos, Cambodia, China, the U.S., Japan, and South Korea, have confirmed their attendance.

Following the FD, the fifth HEF will be held from September 24 to 27, with a policy dialogue attended by Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh on September 25. The session will address the challenges and opportunities of industrial transformation with the Vietnamese Government.

Nguyen Ngoc Hoa, chairman of the HCMC Union of Business Associations (HUBA), said that this year’s HEF theme continues from the previous two years, underscoring the city’s commitment to industrial transformation as a key driver of sustainable development.
