The forum is expected to attract the participation of representatives from Vietnamese ministries and sectors, along with 1,200 – 1,500 delegates from international financial institutions such as the World Bank (WB), International Monetary Fund (IMF), International Finance Corporation (IFC), and Asian Development Bank (ADB); international organisations like the World Economic Forum (WEF); and representatives of Vietnamese and foreign localities, diplomatic agencies, and businesses.

It will also be attended by many experts in economy, technology, industrial transition, and sustainable development.

The forum will focus on issues such as major industrial transformation trends in the world, the governance ecosystem and policies for boosting industrial transformation, Ho Chi Minh City’s industrial transformation strategy and new technology trends, and the role of the city’s Centre for the Fourth Industrial Revolution (C4IR) in industrial transformation.

Within the framework of the forum, Ho Chi Minh City is scheduled to inaugurate C4IR on September 25.

This will be the second C4IR in Southeast Asia to participate in the WEF’s global C4IR network (after Malaysia). It will serve as a venue for boosting cooperation in research, proposing policies, mobilising resources, and transferring technology in industrial transformation.
